Garlic bread is an absolute crowd pleaser. It is made with nothing more than a good loaf of bread, a heavy dose of garlic and tons of butter or olive oil. It is crusty and crunchy on the outside and soft and full of flavorful garlic and cheese on the inside. Yummilicious!
Nothing beats the taste of the fresh ingredients that go into this homemade version of foil-baked garlic bread. That extra crunchiness is obtained because we bake the bread twice.

Ingredients:
1 Loaf of french bread or baguette
5 Cloves of Garlic
¼ cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tbsp of Fresh Parsley
1 Cup of Shredded Mozzarella
Freshly Grated Parmiggiano Reggiano
Your baguette will have a flat side and a rounded side. You will have to cut through the rounded side. But dont cut it all the way through, instead open the bread up like a book. Set that aside.
1) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.
2) In a small food processor or in a blender, add the garlic, oil and parsley and puree until smooth.
3) Smear this mixture on both sides of the bread.
4) Place the top of the bread on top of the bottom and wrap it in aluminum foil, bake it for 10 minutes.
5) Unwrap the bread and lay making sure the cut side is up, sprinkle over the mozzarella and grate about 1 cup of parmiggiano all over both sides of the bread. Return to the oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
6) Slice and serve right away!
Notes:
✔ You can substitute the olive oil with melted butter.
✔ If you cant find Parmesan cheese, just use the mozzarella alone. But in that case, don’t forget to add in a little bit of salt in the garlic oil which you make.
