Kerala cuisine is well known for its flavorful fish and seafood delicacies. Malayalis just love anything with fish. In my family, no lunch time is complete without a fish curry or fish fry. Its a must thing in the menu.
If there is one thing which is always there in my fridge, it is curry leaves. I just cannot do anything without it. Im highly addicted to using curry leaves in my cooking. There is nothing like frying these aromatic herb in a little bit of coconut oil. It gives a very aromatic savory fragrance. Be it fish curry, fry or masala i have to use a lot of curry leaves.
Fish, like I said, holds pride and a very important place in our cuisine. Especially in my house. But quite frankly, i never found seafood very alluring even in my college days. I would never go anywhere near raw fish as the fishy stench would put me off. But, all of that changed completely after i got married to a fish fanatic. He just loves all things fish. Being with him, strangely even i started liking fish.
This fried fish masala was an experiment few weeks back and it was a winner at home. And now this has become a regular item whenever we buy fish. Do give a try and fall for this flavourful and aromatic fish fry….!
